Ovation Panels Optimize the Acoustics of a Local Theater

Theaters and auditoriums present a unique acoustical problem – diffusing sound evenly throughout a space rather than absorbing it entirely to create an optimal listening environment. This was the case with a local Nashville theater that required a fully customized solution for their auditorium.

Given the curved design of Kinetics Ovation Panels, we had to first determine the installation layout of the panels and coordinate with the General Contractor to ensure the rest of the build followed suit. We developed a method to make it easy for the General Contractor to work with other trades so they could add secondary steel to the structure and curve it to the exact radius of the panels.

With the panels in place and construction complete, students could now enjoy the theater and benefit from the well-balanced acoustics achieved through our high-performing solution.
