Dust Collector for Local Maryland University

Dust Collector

Prolonged exposure to sawdust particles from woodworking can lead to severe respiratory issues, lung disease, or even cancer in some cases. So, when a local University decided to build a new wood production shop, they needed a solution to prevent dust particles from harming students and staff members. After assessing their needs, we began designing a dust collection system certified by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). To satisfy this standard, we added inlet explosion protection, an outlet safety monitoring filter for explosion protection, and a blast plate to protect students and staff in the rare case that the collector ruptured. With safety measures in place, students could focus on their projects rather than worry about their health.
