Design Services for Animal Research Lab

After a new biosafety level 3 laboratory (BSL-3) was designed, we were asked to help design the filtration and containment systems for the facility. We first installed 23 Duct Mounted Electric Bubble Tight Dampers to control the contamination or leak paths between rooms, allowing each one to be completely isolated.

Additionally, we provided MERV 14-A and HEPA supply air filters in each of the custom air handling units to meet BSL-3 standards. For the exhaust air, we used a 3Hx1W Camfil GB Containment System to prevent contaminants from escaping during filter replacement. Further, we designed this containment housing with a non-intrusive scan system so the certifiers could test filters annually and keep their employees safe.
