Custom Noise Control Solutions for Childrens Reading Area
Columbus, Ohio
Noise Control
1" Thick Autex Horizon Clouds
It may come as no surprise that libraries are intended to be quiet spaces. However, the children’s reading area in this local Columbus library contained exposed ductwork and metal roofing that increased reverberation time significantly. These reflective materials disrupt our concentration and could impede learning in children if not treated.
To address this issue, our team collaborated with the interior designer to develop an effective treatment strategy that fit the room’s overall aesthetic. Our solution was 1” thick Autex Horizon Clouds to absorb the noise from voices in the room and give children the quiet reading environment they deserve.
