Custom IAQ Solutions Aid in Emergency Department Renovation

A local healthcare facility’s plan to create a state-of-the-art emergency department included many initiatives. On top of increasing patient flow and streamlining emergency care, the renovation involved an upgrade to the facility’s HVAC system. The facility’s current unit was at the end of its life and needed to be replaced to provide additional airflow capacity for the new emergency department and operating rooms.

The healthcare facility partnered with Ketchum & Walton Co. to design and install several systems that offered redundancy in the event of a future pandemic. This included custom air handling units from Air Enterprises and containment air filtration from Camfil.
