The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in managing all aspects of the warehouse operations, supporting sales, and ensuring the continued growth of Ketchum & Walton Company in our given market.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Inventory Management
- Assist with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and inventory control operations
- Enter purchase orders for replacement stock based on approved min/max levels
- Stage and maintain customer-allocated inventory (for specific customers)
- Perform and document weekly cycle counts
- Verify and correct inventory discrepancies within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Coordinate returned goods process with sales, customer, and vendor
- Management and procurement of warehouse supplies
Receiving
- Unload incoming trucks
- Inspect shipment for damage, verify content & quantity
- Work with vendors and execute damaged goods process and associated paperwork
- Process incoming freight paperwork – receive product in WMS
- Distribute stock to required locations and tag/allocate for existing orders
Shipping
- Pull orders and prepare for shipment
- Contact the required freight carrier for pick-up
- Coordinate with customer or K&W Field Personnel on delivery dates and times
- Generate shipping documentation (packing slips & BOL), label each carton, stretch wrap
- Load outbound materials on truck
- Manage UPS shipping software and printer
- Support for walk-in filter sales (in specific markets)
- Filter delivery (in specific markets)
- Custom filter size assembly (in specific markets)
General
- Maintain organization and cleanliness within the warehouse
- Maintain warehouse tools, equipment, and vehicles, including:
- Pallet jacks
- Racking/shelving
- Dock door maintenance
- Pallet removal
- Forklifts
- Delivery trucks (regular maintenance, oil changes, etc.)
- Monitor and enforce consistent application of all company rules, procedures, and policies, specifically including safety and sanitation
- Champion & implement technology & operational improvements
You have the following experience (at a minimum)
- 1-3 years of combined management experience in Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with inventory control, inventory reconciliation, and cycle counting
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in relevant fields are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, turn, reach, pull, push, balance, and lift objects up to 50 lbs for an extended period
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move about for extended periods
- Must be able to stand and balance throughout the shift while operating powered industrial equipment
- Regularly work in a warehouse environment and possibly outside in the heat and cold
You have the following technical skills:
- Microsoft Suite
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory control systems
