Project Manager – Architectural & Interior Acoustics

The Project Manager at Ketchum & Walton Co. will oversee the execution of all activities throughout the project life cycle, primarily focusing on KW installations. Once a project is awarded, the Project Manager serves as the primary interface with the customer, allowing the Sales team to pursue new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

  • Conduct field measurements.
  • Coordinate the submittal process, including technical documentation and physical product samples.
  • Ensure all submittals are approved before releasing KW purchase orders.
  • Generate required shop drawings for Novawall projects.
  • Coordinate material purchasing and jobsite delivery.

Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain project schedules for KW materials and installation activities.

Installation Coordination

  • Communicate installation resource needs and timing with the KW Service Manager.
  • Conduct pre-install site visits to ensure jobsite readiness.
  • Organize project kick-off meetings with installation crews (internal or subcontracted).
  • Submit all necessary safety, training, and drug testing documentation.
  • Document installation logistics with the general contractor or owner.
  • Manage installation execution and address challenges or conflicts.
  • Perform periodic jobsite visits to monitor installation progress and quality.
  • Oversee the completion of punch list items.

Change Management

  • Document any changes to KW’s scope of supply, including cost and schedule impacts.

Project Closeout

  • Ensure all required documentation is submitted.
  • Obtain pictures of the completed installation.
  • Conduct quality checks with primary customers on crew performance, safety, and product/system performance.
  • Ensure final invoicing is issued.
  • Maintain a log of installation hours for Novawall projects to build a labor history per square foot.

Support Functions

  • Provide general drafting support to the sales staff as needed.
  • Offer estimating support, including input on installation hour requirements for interior acoustic jobs and assistance with take-offs for Novawall projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks, including urgent requests.
  • Proficiency in multiple software platforms.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to project sites and suppliers.
  • Preferred AutoCAD Drafting Capabilities

Compensation: This is a salaried position with an opportunity for a year-end bonus based on exceptional performance.
