Indoor Air Quality Solutions for
Firing Ranges
Take your fire range safety to the next level by ensuring a lead-free environment to protect the health of your workers and patrons.
Minimize Lead Exposure & Protect Worker Health within Gun Ranges
In fact, one study found that 3 of 6 employees at a gun range had unsafe levels of lead in their blood. Without proper ventilation and filtration, this poisonous substance clings to surfaces, clothing, and shoes. Oftentimes, lead particles can even flow freely throughout the air.
At Ketchum & Walton, we supply firing ranges with the indoor air quality solutions they need to improve worker health and guest safety. We’ll quickly identify your needs and walk you through the simple process.

Aim for Cleaner Air with High-Performing Solutions
Supply Air HEPA Filters
We provide a minimum of 99.97% HEPAs that are fully tested to ensure workers safety. With hazardous disposal costs often charged by weight, we provide longer-lasting plastic HEPAs whenever possible to increase the duration and provide lighter materials. We can also meet the requirement of Bag in Bag out if the customer requests the design.
Recommended Pre-Filters
Standard Design calls for make-up and exhaust air to hold a minimum of MERV 14-A filtration as required by ASHRAE 52.2 Addendum E. Our team focuses on providing high-capacity MERV 8A or MERV 9A pleats and 12-22″ Bags designed to have high dust holding capacity for extended life to reduce disposal cost from hazardous waste.
Dust & Fume Collectors
Part of the shooting range process is collecting the bullets downstream. When the bullet hits the bullet trap, it forces air to enter the trap; a dust collector is critical at this point to prevent air from re-entering the breathing zone.
Air Cleaners & Purifiers
Our air cleaners and purifiers fit seamlessly within any environment. Equipped with a HEPA filter, these products assist the overall filtration system to further protect the health of workers, leading to increased productivity.
Intake Screens
These innovative products help protect the incoming air from snow, rain, leaves, insects and other debris from entering the critical units prior to the pre-filtration stages.
